Our approach

Clarity before rankings.

You should be able to tell where a fact came from—and what it does not tell you.

A small, explainable selection

The pilot contains ten pool identities transcribed from publicly available operator pages. Selection reflects source availability, not a quality score. Several pools may belong to the same operator; a count of pools is not a count of independent operators. It is not a complete or representative sample of Cardano.

Every entry links to its source and carries a check date. These are unpaid listings. We have not verified an ownership claim, audited an operator or tested an actual delegation.

Pool IDs come first

Names and tickers can change or be duplicated. Each profile uses the full pool ID as its stable URL and also shows its underlying key hash. A valid checksum detects some copying mistakes; it does not prove that a pool is registered or trustworthy.

Unknown means unknown

Operator-published identity details and provider-reported network observations are different sources. When network observations are available, we show the provider, epoch and observation time. A snapshot is not a live connection. Confirm registration status, retirement, fees, pledge and saturation in your wallet or an independent explorer before delegation.

Missing or invalid observations are unavailable, not zero. Observations at least two hours old are marked delayed; at 24 hours, their status and metric values are hidden and excluded from metric filters. Metric sorts place missing or expired values last. Refreshes require an approved provider; conflicting provider records are not silently combined. No observation establishes a guaranteed return.

Understand each metric

  • Margin: the operator's percentage of pool rewards after the fixed cost—not a percentage of your ADA balance.
  • Fixed cost: a pool-level reward deduction per epoch, not a bill sent to each delegator.
  • Declared pledge: the operator's stated commitment; it is different from the live amount supporting that commitment.
  • Active stake: an epoch snapshot. Live stake can change before it becomes active.
  • Saturation: stake relative to the protocol's saturation point. More stake is not automatically better.
  • Blocks: historical production, not a guarantee of future rewards.

Payment does not buy a ranking

Organic results are alphabetical by default, with full pool ID as the tie-breaker. Available metric sorts put missing or expired values last. Sponsorship will be shown separately and labeled Sponsored; it will never change the organic sort or imply our endorsement.

No sponsored placements are active and no bookings or payments are accepted in this pilot. Read the proposed sponsorship policy.

Corrections and rechecks

Pool identities can become outdated, and ownership can change. Recheck the original source and current network before acting. Our correction process explains how a listing can be updated without treating an unverified claim as proof.
